Week 18 | Game Day At A Glance

Saturday, October 7th – Legend’s Night – 2013 Grey Cup Anniversary, presented by Purolator

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club, alongside its fans and the entire CFL community, mourns the death of one of its greatest players of all time, George Reed. The Club will be honouring George throughout game day, starting with a pre-game ceremony honouring #34. Fans are asked to be in their seats by 4:50 p.m. to say goodbye to Mr. Reed and salute the Reed family who will be attendance. More details on what the Club has planned to Remember 34 can be found here

Let’s come together as Rider Nation on Legend’s Night, presented by Purolator, for a full night of tributes and to honour the Riders Legends that came before us. Mosaic Stadium will feature special moments before and throughout the game to honour George Reed.

At halftime the Saskatchewan Roughriders will induct Wendy Kelly, SaskTel Plaza of Honour’s first woman inductee to go in as an individual AND the entire 2013 Grey Cup Team. You will get a chance to hear from select members of the 2013 Team about what that special night in November meant to them when they captured the 101st Grey Cup at home at Historic Mosaic Stadium.

In honour of the 10th anniversary of the Grey Cup victory, we are giving away 5,000 2013 Replica Grey Cup Rings! Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the first 5,000 fans through any of the four main gates can pick up their ring at Customer Service located at each gate.

The Club asks fans to bring a non-perishable food item to donate at the gate for the Purolator Tackle Hunger Program.

Coors Light Legends in the Park opens at 2:00 p.m., and fans will be joined by the players of the 2013 team, who are signing autographs from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.! This will the only opportunity for you to meet and get autographs from every player attending this weekend’s game and induction ceremony. Among the stars are Darian Durant, Kory Sheets, Terrell Maze, Neal Hughes, Tristan Jackson, Tyron Brackenridge, Chris Best and Ricky Foley.

Join us at the Purolator Booth in the park, where the legendary Grey Cup will be making a special appearance! Food donations are encouraged to capture a moment with this iconic trophy, making memories that go beyond the game!

The fully loaded park will also have local cover rock band Grimstone perform on the Coors Light Stage providing the perfect nostalgic jams while you reminisce about legends past.

Of course, the park will also have all its regular family-friendly activities including a face painter, balloon artist, hair artist, and lots of inflatables, ensuring endless fun and smiles for the little ones!

Inside the stadium, the pre-game has an exciting slate as the 620 CKRM Rider Pep Band performs on the field! The 2013 Grey Cup team will run out of the tunnel in a very special Bring Em’ Out! Keep your head up and your hands ready, as they will be tossing autographed footballs into the audience!

On the field, The Riders are set to face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Mosaic Stadium in a game with heavy playoff implications. With only one playoff spot remaining in the West Division, every snap, tackle, catch and run will be critical to the overall playoff picture. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. And don’t forget to celebrate the thrill of the game with $5 Domestic Beers, available in the park and inside the stadium until kickoff! Grab a drink and savor the game day experience!
