2023: In nine games with the Roughriders, Pipkin rushed 25 times for 49 yards and five touchdowns while serving primarily as the short-yardage quarterback. He rushed for his first two TDs as a Roughrider on Sept. 3 in a 32-30 overtime victory over the visiting Winnipeg Blue Bombers. On a fake quarterback sneak, Pipkin completed his only pass of the 2023 season — a 57-yarder to Jamal Morrow against the visiting Edmonton Elks on Sept. 15.

 

PRO: Pipkin signed with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2017. His CFL career began on June 7 of that year, when he signed with the Montreal Alouettes. He played in one game with Montreal in 2017. With the Alouettes in 2018, Pipkin dressed for 12 games and started four. He threw for 1,120 yards and three TDs in 2018, when he also rushed 45 times for 252 yards and eight TDs. As a third-year Alouette in 2019, he dressed for 14 games and made two starts. He threw for 161 yards and one TD in 2019 in addition to carrying the ball 11 times for 61 yards and one major. On Feb. 13, 2020, Pipkin signed with Edmonton as a free agent, only for the 2020 season to be cancelled due to COVID-19. Pipkin signed with the Toronto Argonauts as a free agent on Feb. 9, 2021. In one season with the Argonauts, he dressed for seven games and made one start. He threw for 151 yards in 2021 and also rushed 27 times for 131 yards and five TDs. Pipkin signed with the B.C. Lions on May 31, 2022 and dressed for all 18 games that season, while making one start. In 2022, he completed 29 of 52 passes for 393 yards, with two TDs. He also rushed 43 times for 137 yards and seven TDs. On July 18, 2023, Pipkin signed with Hamilton and dressed for two games with the Tiger-Cats before being dealt to Saskatchewan. He finished the 2023 season with CFL career totals of 1,903 passing yards, with six TDs and 10 interceptions. Over his first six seasons in the CFL, he also rushed 153 times for 635 yards and 26 TDs.

 

COLLEGE: In 44 games at Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio, he passed for 10,941 yards and 88 touchdowns. He added 2,200 yards and 25 majors along the ground. In 2015, as a junior, he produced 3,227 yards and 32 TDs through the air while also rushing for 722 yards and eight scores in 11 games. He followed up in 2016 by passing for 2,534 yards and 25 TDs in addition to rushing for 757 yards and seven majors. Over his first two seasons at Tiffin, he posted passing-yardage totals of 2,317 (in 2013) and 2,863 (2014). Pipkin was also a member of Tiffin’s men’s basketball team as a freshman and a sophomore.
