Riders Sign Defensive Back Erick Dargan

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today international defensive back Erick Dargan has signed with the team.

Dargan (5’11 – 210) joins the Riders after four standout seasons at the University of Oregon. The 24-year-old California native picked up 188 defensive tackles, 15 interceptions and 6.5 tackles for loss in 48 career collegiate games. He was named Second Team All-Pac 12 in 2014 after leading his team, and ranking third nationally, with seven interceptions.

He played with the Ducks in the 2012 Rose Bowl and 2013 Fiesta Bowl.

After college, Dargan signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent. He attended 2015 training camp where he played two preseason games registering three defensive tackles.

Dargan was signed after recently attending a Riders open try-out in Oakland, CA.
