2024 Roughriders Schedule Features Home & Away Matchups Against Every Team

The Canadian Football League has released its full 21-week schedule for the 2024 Season, culminating in the 111th Grey Cup in Vancouver on Sunday, November 17th.

The Roughriders and Mosaic Stadium will be featured in the opening CFL Preseason game on Monday, May 20th in a clash against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers – five days before any other preseason games. This game gives Rider Nation the first chance to see new Head Coach Corey Mace on the Roughriders sideline and all the new faces brought in over the off-season.

This matchup could also serve as a preview of what’s to come, as the Bombers are set to visit Mosaic Stadium two more times during the regular season, once on Friday, July 19th and again for the 59th Labour Day Classic on Sunday, September 1st. The team will travel to Winnipeg for the Labour Day Rematch on Saturday, September 7th.

The Riders open the season with back-to-back road games before returning to Mosaic Stadium for the Home Opener on Sunday, June 23rd to face the visiting Hamilton Tiger-Cats. This is the second leg of a home-and-home series, as the Riders will have travelled to Hamilton the week prior.

Every CFL team will face each other at least twice, once at home and once as a visitor, marking the first occurrence of such scheduling since the 2019 season. This means Rider fans will have a chance to see every CFL team live at Mosaic Stadium next season.

The home schedule features four Saturday games, with all of them taking place at a family-friendly start time—three kickoff at 5:00 p.m. and one at 2:00 p.m. on September 28th. Overall, the home schedule for the Riders, including the preseason game, will have one pre-season game on Monday (Victoria Day), one Thursday game, two on Friday, four on Saturday, and two Sunday games.
