Just in time for Father’s Day, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are planning the ultimate Dad’s Night Out for our Home Opener presented by Ruffles on June 16th!
“After a long off-season, there’s no feeling quite like opening the doors to Mosaic Stadium for our first regular season game of the year,” said Saskatchewan Roughrider Chief Brand Officer Anthony Partipilo. “We can’t wait to use this day to celebrate the return of football and all the dads and father figures who influenced our love of the game.”
Kick off the season in style and spend all Friday evening with us starting with Coors Light Party in the Park at 4 p.m. with Rock and Roll cover band Wonderland playing all of Dad’s favourite jams. Get the family together for relay races, dad-themed trivia, alumni appearances and the inaugural Roughrider Cornhole tournament.
In recognition of this special weekend, the first 5,000 dads coming into the stadium will get a free Roughrider cap as a Father’s Day gift from us!
If football is more dad’s style, the match-up against the rival Winnipeg Blue Bombers is sure to get the entire family up on their feet. The Bombers say they have the loudest fans in the CFL, but we want to show them just how wrong they are with a packed Mosaic Stadium boisterously cheering on the Green and White from start to finish.
At halftime you “might as well go for a soda” on your way to the south concourse as we bring fan-favourite Canadian rock icon Kim Mitchell to the stage under the “patio lantern” lights of Mosaic Stadium for an unforgettable show you won’t want to miss.
“The entire Club has been working tirelessly to give our fans the best possible game day experience this season,” said Partipilo. “On June 16th, we want you to wear your jerseys with pride and cheer as loudly as you can as we Bring ‘Em Out for the first game of the year.”
