We are extremely proud of all our dedicated Rider volunteers who give back in true Saskatchewan fashion…with a smile.

Rider Nation, are you looking for the best ticket in town?

We are currently drafting team members for the 2024 season–are you our first-round pick? Saskatchewan is home to some of the most amazing volunteers in the country! We are always on the lookout for committed and outstanding individuals to join our team of Guest Experience CHAMP’s.

As a member of the Rider Squad, you’re front and centre for all Roughrider home games and possibly even more of the action from Mosaic Stadium!  Our Game Day Team is busy planning for an exciting 2024 season. From our Guides and Ticket Scanners to Guest Relations & Hosts we are there to offer an unforgettable experience for all.

As a volunteer, we are there to assist all our guests in realizing the best possible experience through all our interactions with them. After all we have the best fans.

UNIFORM

We haven’t even mentioned the uniform! Our Rider Squad Members not only can interact with the best fans but also receive an exclusive and unique outfit including, but not limited to:

  • Jacket
  • Polo-style shirt
  • Bunny hug

TRAINING

We will provide you with all the training you need. You can schedule yourself online or with the app for each of the shifts you wish to volunteer for as well as cancel where your plans have changed.

INCENTIVE PROGRAM

Our way of saying thank you. Volunteers are recognized in several ways, including the gifting of:

  • Merchandise, autographed items, gift cards, tickets to events, food at games and events and some great picture/behind the scenes opportunities.
  • We open the season with a Tailgate Party and end with a Recognition Reception (there is a minimum games or events and hours requirement for the year end).

We do require a minimum commitment from each volunteer of 6 games over the course of the season plus any playoff games. In addition, you also receive credit for the hours you contribute to other Rider related events. We do require you to complete a pre-orientation interview by phone, orientation and complete a shift at the pre-season game and provide a one-time fee of $50.00. In return you get an exclusive Rider Squad Uniform (value of over $450.00), food at every game you work and the opportunity to attend private events, and to win some great prizes.

Don’t miss out, spaces are limited. You will need a valid email address and access to the Better Impact system to volunteer. Completing the application will establish your Better Impact profile. Please make note of your username and password. Submission of an application does not reflect acceptance as a volunteer.

TESTIMONIALS (Provided through our Annual Volunteer Survey)

  • “My favorite moments were taking photos of families or friends at their first Rider game or first time at Mosaic Stadium during Grey Cup I would take the picture so that one of the parents or friends would not be missing from the picture. By me taking the picture both parents or all the friends are in the picture. They always would say “you would do that” and I would say yes because it is a once in a lifetime picture, and we need everybody in it.”
  • “The RiderSquad is a great team of people with a common goal of making each and every Rider game or event a truly memorable experience for the public. This shows in every one of us everywhere around the stadium…both inside and out, from the top of the stadium to the field. Everyone is friendly and always wanting to help whevever they can. One of my favourite moments was watching the team of RiderSquad volunteers come together to become a strong unit with a common goal. Honestly that was a very rewarding moment for me to see and acknowledge!!!!.”
  • “Joining the Rider Squad is a great opportunity to help our community run Riders. You have a great opportunity to communicate with the fans to make their game day experience a great one. The Rider Squad is a well run organization and I would recommend anyone to join our Rider Squad in 2023, you won’t be disappointed!.”
  • “Volunteering with the Riders is very rewarding. It is a great organization that treats its volunteers well and appreciates its volunteers. Terrific group of volunteers who make the experience fun and enjoyable. Go Riders Go!”
  • “I really enjoyed my first year. I was really nervous and anxious for the first 3 games, the leaders and fellow volunteers helped me through it very well, I volunteered at 7 games, a soccer games and a concert. I am also in a wheelchair and the Saskatchewan Roughriders help accommodate me for my abilities.”
