2023: With the Toronto Argonauts, Ouellette rushed for 1,009 yards in 15 regular-season games, averaging 5.7 yards per carry, and scored eight touchdowns along the ground en route to being named an East Division All-Star. He also caught 16 passes for 163 yards and two scores for an Argonauts team that posted a 16-2 regular-season record. As well, he led the CFL in runs of 20 or more yards (10).

 

PRO: Ouellette had NFL stints with the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns in 2019 before signing with the Toronto Argonauts on Sept. 17 of that year. In three games (and two starts) with the 2019 Argonauts, he rushed 23 times for 114 yards (5.0 yards per carry) and caught five passes for 39 yards and one score. In six games (one start) with Toronto in 2021, he carried the ball 23 times for 143 yards (6.2-yard average). He became a regular in 2022, taking over starting duties in the latter half of the season and playing in 13 games overall. He rushed for 516 yards (5.3-yard average) and two touchdowns and added 38 receptions for 350 yards and one major. In the 2022 Grey Cup Game, played at Mosaic Stadium, Ouellette rushed for two touchdowns — including a five-yarder that tied the game with 3:40 left in the fourth quarter. The ensuing convert proved to be the winning point as Toronto defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 24-23.

 

COLLEGE: Ouellette played five collegiate seasons (2014-18) at the University of Ohio. Over 50 games, he rushed for 3,833 yards and 32 touchdowns while adding 64 receptions for 516 yards and six more scores. In 2017, he rushed for 1,006 yards in 13 games. He followed up in 2018 with 1,306 rushing yards in 13 games and was also named the Offensive MVP of the DXL Frisco Bowl after helping the Nathan Rourke-quarterbacked Bobcats blank the San Diego State Aztecs 27-0. Ouellette carried the ball 29 times for 164 yards in that game, which was played at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

 

FAST FACT: On top of everything else he accomplished with the Argonauts last season, Ouelllete threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Dejon Brissett on Sept. 4 at Hamilton.
