Greg Mayer enters his second season with the Roughriders after spending 26 years and more than 1,500 regular-season games in the Western Hockey League as the Athletic Therapist/Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Moose Jaw Warriors (1997 to 2004) and Regina Pats (2004 to 2023).

During that time, he worked with Hockey Canada at the World Under-18 Championship (1999) and the World Junior Championship (2001, 2010).

In 2019, he received the WHL Milestone Award, which recognizes outstanding achievements.

Mayer graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1995 with a degree in Human Kinetics.

He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (by the National Strength and Conditioning Association) and a Certified Athletic Trainer (National Athletic Trainers’ Association).
