COLLEGE: Played in 24 NCAA games over the past two seasons at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Over that time, Houston Jr. recorded one touchdown (on a fumble return) and 126 defensive tackles (including 25 for a loss), 12 sacks, two pass deflections, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In his senior season, he led the Mid-American Conference in tackles for a loss (17), ranked fourth in sacks (8) and was named a First Team All-MAC.  He began his NCAA career at McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill., where he played in 24 games with the Bearcats over three seasons (2019-21), Houston  Jr. tallied 106 defensive tackles (16 for a loss) and nine sacks at McKendree. In 2021, he earned First-Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference recognition after totalling 70 defensive tackles over 11 games.   

FAST FACT: Houston Jr. scored Ball State’s only defensive touchdown of the 2022 season, on a four-yard fumble return versus Central Michigan on Oct. 8.
