The Rider Cheer Team has so much spunk and professionalism – I just had to come back and audition another year. This experience and opportunity is like none other! Being around loving and supportive girls is the cherry on top.
My favourite memory would have to be our Christmas gift exchange at Grey Cup 2023! It was so fun watching everyone receive gifts and all of us hanging out in our PJs! Also, performing the Saskatchewan Pirates dance at every game!
A bit more about Shaylah
Shaylah’s been dancing since she was just 3 years old and hasn’t stopped moving since! She’s had strong training in her hometown (Saskatoon) and had the privilege to finish off her competitive years at Kristy’s Dance Fusion. Shaylah has taken every opportunity to grow her craft. She feels privileged to have trained in Vancouver, Toronto, Atlanta, Indiana, and Los Angeles, learning from some of the industry’s finest. She’s finished her 4th season with the Saskatchewan Rush Cheer Team and currently teaches at Dance Elements, Lanigan Dance Dynamics, and Rise YXE. When she’s not in the studio or on the field, Shaylah’s probably at the gym, bowling a strike, watching movies, or cheering loud for the Oilers and the Prince Albert Raiders.
Her current favourites? Tacos, cats, her brother, music, ice cream, Harry Potter and learning how to golf (it’s a work in progress).
