Bio
I decided to audition for the team again because I get to be surrounded by the most inspiring group of women. The love and passion for the team radiates through each person and I am so very grateful to take part in it.
My favourite memory was cheering in-game for the Western Semi-Final and dancing with the Jonas Brothers at halftime during the 2024 Grey Cup Festival. It was an experience that I will never forget!
A bit more about Maria
She grew up dancing in Humboldt at Jacquie’s Dance Academy and continued when Impact Dance Company took over. Since moving to Saskatoon, she completed her rookie season with the Harvard Media Rider Cheer Team and began dancing for the Saskatchewan Rush Lacrosse team on the O16 Electric Crew.
When not on the sidelines Maria is teaching dance or working at a dental clinic as a Sterilization Technician. She finds the dental world to be fascinating and is hoping to apply into a dental assisting program to obtain certification. Outside of dance she also enjoys fishing, golfing, reading new books and hanging out with friends and family.
