2024: Herdman-Reed registered three special teams tackles on July 4 versus Toronto … two special teams tackles, Oct. 12 vs. B.C. … 16 special teams tackles in 16 games … signed new contract, Dec. 31.

 

2023: Herdman-Reed registered 10 special teams tackles and three defensive tackles in 10 regular-season games with the Roughriders.

 

PRO: Herdman-Reed was chosen by the Toronto Argonauts in the seventh round, 54th overall, of the 2017 CFL draft — six picks before his twin brother, Jordan, was chosen by the B.C. Lions. In 2018, Justin Herdman-Reed produced a career-high 19 special teams tackles in 18 games with Toronto. In 11 games with the Argonauts in 2019, he registered 37 defensive tackles, five special teams stops, two sacks and two forced fumbles. As a first-year Roughrider in 2021, he contributed five defensive tackles and five special teams tackles in 13 games. He followed up in 2022 with 10 special teams tackles and two defensive tackles in 12 games with Saskatchewan.

 

COLLEGE: Herdman-Reed spent his collegiate career at Simon Fraser University, where he played in 40 games over four seasons. Over that span, he registered 220 defensive tackles (33 for a loss), six sacks, two interceptions, five forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries. One of the fumble returns produced a touchdown.
