2023: After being sidelined by a torn pectoral muscle that he suffered in training camp, Onyeka played in four regular-season games.

PRO: Onyeka was selected by Edmonton in the second round, 10th overall, of the 2018 CFL Draft. In 27 games with the Elks over two seasons, he made five defensive tackles and 13 special teams tackles. With the Roughriders in 2021, he played in nine regular-season games and one playoff contest. He registered 24 defensive tackles during the 2021 regular season while lining up at cornerback and strong-side linebacker. He added seven special teams tackles. In 2022. he had two defensive tackles and two special teams tackles in two games.

COLLEGE: Onyeka was a three-time U Sports First Team All-Canadian, a three-time OUA First Team All-Star and a 2014 OUA All-Rookie selection at Wilfrid Laurier. He helped the Golden Hawks win the OUA Championship in 2016. Over four collegiate seasons, he registered 180 defensive tackles, 10 interceptions, 11 pass knockdowns, five forced fumbles and two sacks.

FAST FACT: Onyeka and his cousin, Kosi Onyeka, are teammates with the Roughriders.
