2024: Black signed with Edmonton in January and spent the first part of this season with the Elks … registered one special teams tackle in debut with Roughriders, Sept. 20 at Calgary.

2023: Attended a New York Giants mini-camp.

COLLEGE: Black’s collegiate career began as a walk-on at the University of Buffalo (2018-21) where he quickly earned a scholarship and secured a starting job on the Bulls’ defensive line. He played in 29 games, tallying 36 total tackles (including eight for a loss), six sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. In the 2020 Camellia Bowl, Black registered two sacks to help his team defeat Marshall. As a senior in 2022, Black played at Stony Brook University in Suffolk County, N.Y. In 10 games, he had a team-high five sacks, adding 19 total tackles (seven for a loss), four pass deflections and one forced fumble. He was named to the prestigious National Football Foundation and to the College Hall of Fame New Hampshire Honor Society for his success on the field and in the classroom.

FAST FACT: Black is the first Roughrider to hail from Rochester, N.Y.
