COLLEGE: Mimbs was selected by the Roughriders in the sixth round, 50th overall, of the 2024 CFL Draft out of the University of Regina Rams. Over the past three Canada West seasons, he recorded 89 receptions for 1,236 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2023, Mimbs led the Rams in catches (30) and receiving yards (480). In 2021, he paced the U of R in receiving yards (288) and touchdown catches (five) over six games during a COVID-shortened season. The five touchdown catches were the most ever by a first-year U of R player. After the 2021 season, he was named the U of R’s male rookie of the year.
FAST FACT: His father, Robert Mimbs, played for the Roughriders in 1995, 1996 and 1997. In 1996, Mimbs rushed for a CFL-best 1,403 yards and was named the West Division’s Most Outstanding Player.
