Chris Tormey is in his first season as linebackers coach with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Tormey spent the last two seasons as linebackers coach with the B.C. Lions after coaching the Montreal Alouettes in the same capacity for the 2015 season.

Beginning as a high school assistant in 1978, Tormey enjoyed a lengthy coaching career south of the border prior to joining the Canadian Football League. In 1980 Tormey moved to the collegiate ranks, spending two seasons at Washington as an assistant coach. He went on to coach the defensive line at Idaho for the 1982-83 seasons before returning to Washington where he remained for eleven seasons.
