How long have you been dancing/cheering?
I started dancing when I was 4! I first started in Ukrainian dance and loved it so much that my parents put me in jazz, rap and ballet.

What are your career aspirations outside of being on the Cheer Team?
I am a Payroll & Benefits Specialist for Innovation Credit Union.

What are your favourite performance styles?
Jazz and “cheer hop” (as Vanessa calls it haha).

What football position would you play?
I think I would be a part of special teams. Though they’re not on the field as much as some other positions, they are still a very vital part of the team!

What is a cause you are passionate about?
A cause I am passionate about is providing financial literacy and education to today’s youth. I currently work for a financial company, so I have learned all about how finances work. It wasn’t until I started my current job that I realized how today’s youth don’t get enough financial education.

What does the Cheer Team add to Rider Game Days?
The cheer team plays a big role in game day! We are some of the first representative’s fans come in contact with on game days, and then can be seen around the stadium to keep the energy going all game! We get the best of both worlds by being both a fan and representative of the club both on the field and in the community!

What advice would you give to an aspiring Cheer Team Member?
My piece of advice for an aspiring cheer member would be to just go for it and be yourself! You’ll be surprised at how things work out for you, and the feeling of giving it your best shot while being true to yourself is honestly the best reward no matter the outcome!

What is your favourite thing about Saskatchewan?
My favourite part about Saskatchewan is the community and that feeling of home you get when you walk outside!
