Roughriders Coors Light Training Camp Returns To USask

Annual Green and White Day to be held May 20

As the 2023 season inches closer, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are excited to return to Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan for Coors Light Training Camp.

First year Riders will kick things off May 10 with three days of practice before main camp begins on Sunday, May 14. The last on-field practice in Saskatoon will take place on June 1 before the team travels to Winnipeg for its final preseason game on June 2. The team will return to Regina on June 4.

Our Annual Green and White Day, hosted at SMF Field, will take place Saturday, May 20. It promises to be a fun afternoon for the whole family with many kids’ activities including face painting, music, inflatables, performances from the 620 CKRM Pep Band, 620 CKRM Rider Cheer Team, and of course, Gainer the Gopher.

Roughrider President and CEO Craig Reynolds, Vice President and General Manager Jeremy O’Day and Head Coach Craig Dickenson will give the State of the Nation address and host a fan Q & A at 1 p.m., followed by the Green and White game at 3 p.m.

As always, fans are invited to line the fences at the end of the game for a player autograph session.

Prior to Training Camp, our players will make several community appearances in Saskatoon as well as in Northern Saskatchewan. Quarterback Trevor Harris, alongside several teammates, will attend the Punchline Comedy Fundraiser on April 28 in Saskatoon – tickets are available here

The Roughriders will have a strong presence at the Dog’s Breakfast on May 4 and will make a visit to the White Buffalo Youth Lodge. Players will also return to the province’s north for the Northern Saskatchewan Football League camp and visit schools in and around La Loche with our partners at NexGen Energy Ltd.

In addition, fans will get the opportunity to meet Harris and receiver Jake Wieneke at a Rider Store at Midtown on May 4 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders regular season kicks off Sunday, June 11 in Edmonton. The Home Opener – Dads Night Out, presented by Ruffles is June 16 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
