Rider Add Americans Shaun Wilson And Levi Lewis

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American running back Shaun Wilson and American quarterback Levi Lewis. 

Wilson (5’9-185) signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and saw action in five games that season. He earned 29 rushing yards on six attempts and added 122 yards on seven kick returns. He also spent time with the Washington Commanders in 2019 and spent part of the 2020 season with the Tennessee Titans. Most recently, the 26-year-old spent time with the B.C. Lions in 2021.  

Wilson played four collegiate seasons (2014-17) at Duke University. The former Blue Devil recorded 475 carries for 2,463 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns and added 81 receptions for 725 yards and six majors in 49 games. He was also a contributor on special teams, taking 67 kick returns for 1,697 yards and two touchdowns.  

Lewis (5’10-184) was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft and attended rookie camp with the team. 

Collegiately, the 24-year-old spent five seasons (2017-21) at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. In 57 games, the former Ragin’ Cajun’ completed 721 passes for 9,203 yards, 74 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He also earned 286 rushes for 1,088 yards and 14 touchdowns. Lewis left the school with a 35-7 record and is their career leader in passing touchdowns and ranks second in passing yards. He earned Second-Team All-Sun Belt honours following both the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
