Saturday July 2nd — Celebrate Canada’s Red and White with your Green and White!

After two weeks away we are excited to welcome fans back home for Canada Day Weekend as the Roughriders  host the Montreal Alouettes and honour the Canadian Armed Forces at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday, July 2nd !

No Canada Day Long Weekend is complete without a true Celebration of what it means to be Canadian, so we’ll be unveiling our 100-yard long Canadian Flag! This giant flag can reach from one five-yard line all the way to the other five-yard line and really packs a punch as we ‘stand on guard for thee.’

Kickoff is at 5:00 p.m., with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. and youll want to be in your seat at least 15 minutes before game time to catch a very special flyover from the Canadian Armed Forces!

We will also be recognizing our Saskatchewan Olympians and Paralympians before the game begins. Medalists Keely Shaw, Kenzie Priddell, Lisa DeJong and others will be in attendance!

And what says Canada Day Weekend more than a Pepsi Summer Concert Series performance by Canadian rock band Harlequin. The Classic rockers will be this week’s halftime act and you won’t want to miss it! Originally formed in Winnipeg in 1975, Harlequin continues to tour to this day. They are best known for their first album, titled “Victim of a Song”, which was certified gold in Canada. The band’s second album, “Love Crimes”, included the songs “Innocence,” and “Thinking of You’ which are their biggest hits to date. In 2006, the original members of the band were inducted into the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Back again this week is our fully licensed Coors Light Party in the Park opening at 2:00 p.m.! The fun-for-all-ages event will have inflatables, face painting, a balloon artist, performances from the 620 CKRM Cheer Team, the Coors Light Stage with DJ Tolley T and so much more!

Enjoy Canada Day with the whole family with our new Family Ticket Packages! For $99.00, you can bring your family of four and take in all the events in and around the stadium! Special family-friendly food bundles can be found for as low $34.00!

Reminders:

Your phone is your ticket! Don’t forget to download the Rider App, powered by SaskTel, onto your smartphone and have your digital tickets ready before you come to Mosaic Stadium. We promise it’s easy, but we created a tutorial video here and have a full FAQ and written tutorial at Riderville.com, just in case!

We’re in the clear. The Club has moved to a clear bag policy for all Saskatchewan Roughrider games in 2021 and beyond. Each fan, including children, can bring in one clear bag sized 12” x 6” x 12” or smaller. More details on the clear bag policy can be found here.

In transit? Whether you arrive at the stadium on four wheels or two, there are options available! The bike valet opens at 3:00 p.m. on game day and is staffed by volunteers through REAL. The bikes are inside a fenced compound that is monitored throughout its hours of operation. Please note that your bike must be picked up within one hour after the game ends.

In addition, Rider Transit presented by WorkSafe Saskatchewan is back! That’s right, free guest bus transit is available from various locations across the city (Southland Mall, University of Regina, Warehouse district, the Delta Hotel, Victoria Ave and Scarth Street) and at a NEW north end location: The Turvey Centre, starting two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff time.

Week Four:

After two weeks on the road, the Green and White is back in Regina for a rematch against the Montreal Alouettes after falling to them in Week 3. Quarterback Cody Fajardo leads a balanced aerial attack that has four receivers already sitting at over 100 yards on the year. Running back Jamal Morrow is third in the league in rushing yards and will look to keep pumping out yards on the ground.

Defensive lineman Pete Robertson has had a monster start to the season, leading the league with five sacks. As a unit, the defence is on top of the CFL with 15 sacks and will look to improve that number this week.

Kicker Brett Lauther has been a reliable source of points and is currently tied for the league lead in made field goals. He has hit four field goals from 40-49 yards and one from 50+ yards while nailing both of his extra point converts.
