Roughriders To Host Green And White Day At SMF Field

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased invite fans to Green and White Day at SMF Field in Saskatoon on Saturday, May 28th.  

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the annual event which will feature an afternoon of football and fun, including inflatables, face painting, performances from the 620 CKRM Rider Cheer Team and 620 CKRM Rider Pep Band as well as fan interactions with Gainer the Gopher.  

Back again this year is State of Rider Nation with Roughriders President and CEO Craig Reynolds, Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Jeremy O’Day and Head Coach Craig Dickenson providing updates on the latest goings on with the football team. Hosted by the Roughriders In-Game Host, Mark Johnston, the event will also feature a fan Q&A.  

With many events happening on the footprint at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex, this year’s State of Rider Nation will take place in the building southeast of the Gordie Howe Sports Centre. Just follow the signs and look for the big Saskatchewan Roughriders flag!  

Once the formal program is complete, the Green and White game will begin at 3 p.m.  

After the game, fans are invited to line the fences on the east side of the field for an autograph session with the team.

 

Schedule of Events 

Noon  Activities begin including inflatables, music, concessions and fan interactions 
12:30 p.m.  Doors open to State of Rider Nation 
1 p.m. to 2 p.m.  State of Rider Nation with Craig Reynolds, Jeremy O’Day and Craig Dickenson 
2:50 p.m.  On field performances from 620 CKRM Pep Band and 620 CKRM Cheer Team begin 
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Green and White Scrimmage 
5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Player Autograph Session
