GAME DAY AT A GLANCE  – Week 2

GAME DAY AT A GLANCE

August 14th is Country Night, presented by Young’s Equipment

Dust off your boots and get out your best pair of Wranglers because the Roughriders will be highlighting our province’s love for agriculture and country music this Saturday night at Mosaic Stadium.

It’s the second of three straight home games and you’ll be able to ‘boot scootin’ boogie’ through this warm summer night.

Our country theme will be reflected throughout the game with country music playing loud and proud and our Pepsi Concert Series features a halftime show from JoJo Mason.

If you’re feeling a little low on your country gear, stop in at the Rider Store before you head to the game and pick up one of our Saskatchewan Roughrider cowboy hats to get you in the mood.

Your phone is your ticket! Don’t forget to download the Rider App, powered by SaskTel, onto your smartphone and have your digital tickets ready before you come to Mosaic Stadium.  We will have helpers available outside each gate before the game to assist those needing additional support, plus we created a tutorial video here and have a full FAQ and written tutorial at Riderville.com.

Have a safe game day:

Not feeling well? We appreciate that a return to Mosaic Stadium is an exciting thing for us all, but at this time we ask you to stay home and catch the game on TSN if you are feeling unwell on game day. Please click here for a list of COVID-19 symptoms.

Get vaccinated. The Sask Health Authority has partnered with the Club to bring vaccines to Mosaic Stadium. For fans looking for a convenient opportunity to get their shot, a vaccine clinic will be open outside Sasktel Gate 3 and Brandt Gate 4 starting at 4 p.m. First and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available.

Wash your hands. More than 200 hand sanitizer stations have been added to high touch and high traffic areas around the stadium.

Consider wearing a mask. COVID-19 is still in our community and masks are one way to keep you and your family protected. Many Roughrider staff will be wearing masks, including our players and coaches on the sidelines. Bring one along for yourself or disposable masks will be available for free at our guest services desk at every gate with reusable cloth masks for sale at the Rider Store.

Additional Considerations:

We’re in the clear. The Club has moved to a clear bag policy for all Saskatchewan Roughrider games in 2021 and beyond. Each fan, including children, can bring in one clear bag sized 12” x 6” x 12” or smaller. More details on the clear bag policy can be found here.

In transit? Whether you arrive at the stadium on four wheels or two, there are options available! The bike valet opens at 5:30 p.m. on game day. It is stationed near the south end of Confederation Park and is staffed by volunteers through REAL. The bikes are inside a fenced compound that is monitored throughout its hours of operation.

In addition, Rider Transit presented by WorkSafe Sask is back! That’s right, free guest bus transit is available from various locations across the city (Southland Mall, University of Regina, Warehouse district, the Delta Hotel, Victoria Ave and Scarth Street) starting two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff time.

Week 2 Action:

The last time Hamilton was in Saskatchewan, Cody Fajardo led the Roughriders to a win over Hamilton in 2019 with 313 yards on 25 of 31 and added 2 rushing TDs.

Nick Marshall continues to be a ball hawk for the Green and White, with another pick six last week. He’s now tied the Saskatchewan record held by Ken McEachern for most INT return TDs with four.

Deon Lacey had a strong showing in his return to the CFL last week leading the defence with seven tackles plus a sack and a pass knockdown. He spent several seasons in the NFL, last playing the Canadian
