Week 11 | Gameday At A Glance

GAME DAY AT A GLANCE

August 24th is Family Day (presented by SIGA)

Gather up your kids and join your Roughrider family as we celebrate Family Day at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday.

We’ve planned a day that is sure to have your little Rider fans gushing for days and weeks to come.

Our Coors Light Party in the Park starts three hours before game time and will be filled with your children’s favourite characters. Swing by to meet Iron Man, Spiderman and members of the Paw Patrol from 3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. But don’t fret if your little one missed their favourite superheroes before the game – you can find them again in section 144 in the 2nd quarter and in section 122 throughout the 4th quarter.

American Ninja Warrior Junior will also have an obstacle course set up and you can enter for a chance to win a trip to the Grey Cup in Calgary.

Get to your seats early as your Little Rider Cheerleaders (presented by Northgate Mall) will be performing roughly 30 minutes before kickoff.

We’ll also have special pre-game and in-game appearances from Family Channel Stars Victoria Baldesarra and Josh Bogert.

You’ll want to stay in your seats at halftime as we celebrate two Grey Cup Champions and our latest inductees to the SaskTel Plaza of Honour, Kerry Joseph and Neal Hughes. The duo was officially inducted in a special ceremony on Thursday night. Your kids will also get a kick out of Hideout Dogs Show Team who will also perform at halftime.

Once the game is over, head over to Harvard’s Studio 620 Lounge on the west side of the Stadium to take in the 620 CKRM post-game show and relive the game with your friends and a cold bevvie. The lounge will be open for three hours after the game ends. Remember to get a safe ride home!

With construction season still in full swing, why not consider taking Rider Transit (presented by WorkSafe Saskatchewan) to and from Mosaic Stadium? Rider Transit begins offering rides two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff and run for an hour after the game is over. Your Rider game ticket gets you on the bus for free. Find all the pick-up locations here.

WEEK 11 ACTION

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are on a four-game winning streak heading into this week’s match up against the Ottawa Redblacks. Since last playing the Riders, the Redblacks have gone 1-6 – the Green and White, meanwhile, went 5-1.

The Roughriders offence continues to fly with receivers Shaq Evans and Kyran Moore on pace for more than 1,000 yards receiving this season. If the twosome continues at the pace they’re at, Evans is projected to reach 1,366 yards and Moore 1,107.

Running back William Powell is also on pace to rush for 1000+ yards this season. Powell also is currently tied for first in the league for rushing touchdowns at seven. Quarterback Cody Fajardo is not far behind with six rushing touchdowns.

On special teams, Regina’s own Jon Ryan leads the league with an average of 49.9 yards per punt. He already holds the record for highest punting average over a season with 50.6 in 2005.

Charleston Hughes continues his league-leading pace in sacks having already racked up 10 of them halfway through the season. The next closest player only has six.
