Riders Add Two Defensive Pieces

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced the following roster moves: 

SIGNED:

  • International defensive lineman Chester Graves
  • International defensive back Stephen Roberts

Graves (6’4 – 235) joins the Riders after spending two seasons at Iowa Western Community College.

The 20-year-old Missouri native registered 118 defensive tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, seven quarterback sacks and four forced fumbles in 22 collegiate games for the Reivers.  

Graves is ranked as the number one 2019 junior college prospect in the United States. 

Roberts (5’11 – 190) has signed with the Riders after attending 2018 training camp with Philadelphia Eagles where he played three preseason games, picking up three defensive tackles.

The 23-year-old signed with the Eagles after playing four seasons at the University of Auburn. In 51 collegiate games for the Tigers, Roberts registered 136 defensive tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, two forced fumbles.
