Purifoy Signs Extension To Remain With Riders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed international defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy to a one-year contract extension, keeping with the club for 2019.

Purifoy (5’11 – 190) was signed by the Riders in August of 2018. The 25-year-old played 10 regular-season games and the Western Semi-Final for the Green and White.

Purifoy was originally signed by the B.C. Lions in March of 2016 where played two CFL seasons before joining the Ottawa Redblacks as a free agent in February, 2018.

Through three CFL seasons, Purifoy has registered 148 defensive tackles, 12 special-teams tackles, eight interceptions and five quarterback sacks in 53 regular-season games.

Purifoy was eligible to become a free agent on February 12, 2019.
