Christion Jones Signs Extension

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed international kick returner Christion Jones to a one-year contract extension keeping him with the team through 2019.

Jones (5’11 – 190) signed with the Riders in July, 2017 and he played 10 games during his first CFL season. The 25-year-old University of Alabama product had 45 punt returns for 645 yards and two touchdowns while adding 18 kickoff returns for 423 yards. Following the season, he was named the Riders’ Most Outstanding Special-Teams Player.

In the playoffs Jones added 12 punt returns for 223 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown.
