The Roughriders hold the line on season-ticket prices

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have started their 2018 season-ticket renewal process — and it maintains the same pricing as the 2017 Inaugural Season.

Gregg Sauter, the CFL team’s vice-president of business development and marketing, revealed Wednesday that the Roughriders are keeping their 2018 season-ticket prices the same as they were in 2017.

“Renewal notices have been distributed and season-ticket holders can now secure their seats for next year,” Sauter said. “We’re really happy to announce that there will be no increase in ticket prices for season-ticket holders for the 2018 season.

“Our season-ticket holder base is important to us; they were patient in the transition to their new stadium and have brought energy that has delivered an incredible atmosphere and home-field advantage,” he added. “We’re holding prices firm for next year.”

The Roughriders moved their operations from historic Mosaic Stadium into their new $278-million home in February. After the season started, the club attracted sellout crowds of 33,350 to its pre-season game and to each of its first seven regular-season games.

Saskatchewan completes its regular-season slate Saturday, when the Edmonton Eskimos visit Mosaic Stadium. Tickets are still available for that contest, which has playoff implications for both teams.

With an eye on 2018, the Roughriders are offering season-ticket holders a chance to take advantage of early bird renewal pricing.

In March, the Roughriders released a limited number of seats for season-ticket sales for the first time in more than three years. Fans who are interested in becoming season-ticket holders for 2018 are encouraged to put their names on the season-ticket waiting list as soon as possible.

“Now that we’re settled in our new home and our season-ticket holders have transitioned into their new seats, we’ll be opening up more seats for season-ticket purchases,” Sauter said. “That means that we’ll be going to the waiting list early in 2018.”

The season-ticket waiting list can be found on Riderville.com under the “Tickets” tab.
