Calgary Stampeders (10-1-1)
at Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-5-0)
Sunday, 2 p.m., Mosaic Stadium
TSN, CKRM

THE FORECAST: Environment Canada is calling for a mainly cloudy day with a high of 12 C.

THE LOWDOWN: The Roughriders and Stampeders meet for the second time in the 2017 regular season. Calgary won 27-10 when the teams tangled July 22 at McMahon Stadium. The squads will meet again Oct. 20 in the Alberta city … The Stampeders are 6-0-0 against West Division teams this season, extending their winning streak against divisional opponents to 15 games … Calgary has won nine straight regular-season games against Saskatchewan … The Roughriders are 3-4-0 against the West this season. Those three victories have come in Saskatchewan’s past four games against divisional foes … Roger Brandvold, a former chairman of the board of directors, and ex-Roughriders tailback Wes Cates will be feted after being inducted into the Plaza of Honour on Friday.

THE RIDERS’ ROSTER: No. 1 quarterback Kevin Glenn is set to return to the Roughriders’ starting lineup Sunday after missing their game Sept. 15 against the host Hamilton Tiger-Cats with a bruised right (throwing) hand. Brandon Bridge, who ran the offence in Hamilton and was solid in his first start as a Roughrider, goes back to being the backup … Josh Harris, who signed with the Roughriders on Sept. 6, comes off the practice roster to make his first start at tailback. The former Pittsburgh Steeler starts in place of Kienan LaFrance, who remains on the roster as the backup … Receiver Duron Carter has been hobbled by an ankle injury sustained against the Tiger-Cats, but he’s expected to be ready for Sunday’s contest. The rest of the starting receiving corps remains the same, with Canadian Rob Bagg joining internationals Bakari Grant, Caleb Holley and Naaman Roosevelt … Centre Brendon LaBatte twice left the game in Hamilton with an ankle injury, but the veteran has proclaimed himself healthy. LaBatte again will have four veterans around him — guards Derek Dennis and Peter Dyakowski and tackles Bruce Campbell and Thaddeus Coleman — as the Roughriders take on Calgary’s stout defensive line … Aside from defensive tackle T.J. Barnes (who has been suspended), the defensive line remains the same from the unit that played in Hamilton. Tobi Antigha, Makana Henry, Willie Jefferson, A.C. Leonard, Ese Mrabure and Eddie Steele will man the line … The Roughriders signed Otha Foster III just before heading to Hamilton with the hope that he could be their strong-side linebacker. But Foster’s back lasted just two defensive plays against the Tiger-Cats, forcing converted safety Jeff Hecht to play most of the game in that spot (where he got some help from Jeff Knox Jr.). But Foster returns to start this week, with holdovers Henoc Muamba (middle) and Sam Eguavoen (weak-side) in the other linebacking spots … Hecht goes to safety to replace the injured Mike Edem, with newly unretired Marc-Olivier Brouillette as the backup … Jovon Johnson and Kacy Rodgers II remain at the cornerback spots, with Ed Gainey and Crezdon Butler as the halfbacks … Long-snapper Jorgen Hus, kicker Tyler Crapigna and punter Josh Bartel return as the Roughriders’ specialists … Special-teams ace Glenn Love, who spent the past six games on the injured list, returns to the roster. He replaces Cameron Ontko, who was injured in Hamilton … Christion Jones has been activated off the six-game injured list to replace Marcus Thigpen as the return man … Rookie Emmanuel Adusei, who has practised on both the offensive and defensive lines, has been activated. He takes the roster spot of linebacker Beau Landry … Edem, Landry, Ontko and Thigpen all have been placed on the six-game injured list, while newly signed Elie Bouka is on the one-game injured list.
