THE FORECAST: Environment Canada is calling for clear skies and a high of 31°C. The evening is expected to be clear with a low of 16°C.

THE LOWDOWN: The Roughriders and the Argonauts meet for the first time this season. Saskatchewan is looking to rebound in fine form following a 27-10 road loss in Week 5 at the hands of the Calgary Stampeders. The Argonauts look to re-establish a winning streak in Regina, coming off a 27-24 victory at home against Ottawa. The Argonauts currently sit atop the East Division, with their only two losses coming at the hands of West Division opponents (B.C. & Winnipeg respectively). The Roughriders split last season’s series opposite Toronto, winning the latter of the matchups on October 15th of last year, by a score of 29-11 from BMO Field.

THE RIDERS’ ROSTER: Kevin Glenn was one of few bright spots last week in Calgary, becoming the seventh QB in league history to throw for 50,000 yards, passing that mark on a first-half pass to Naaman Roosevelt. Glenn’s next passing feat involves Riders legend, Ron Lancaster, who sits all-time at 50,535 career passing yards—Glenn has 50,087. Cameron Marshall once again showcased his resilience last week, rushing for a hard-earned 40 yards, including the team’s lone touchdown; Marshall will start once again at RB in the Riders’ backfield…LB Sam Williams recorded his first career CFL interception off Bo Levi Mitchell last week, but has been ruled out of this week’s contest. Williams had started every game at LB this up until this point in the season. Williams still leads the Riders in defensive tackles with 18, but will be inactive for tomorrow’s game…Kacy Rodgers draws back into the lineup at CB this week. Crezdon Butler was slotted in late last weekend as Rodgers’ replacement, but will start at SAM LB as Sam Williams’ replacement tomorrow night. After missing several weeks due to injury, CFL sophomore slotback, Caleb Hollley is back in the starting lineup for Week 6.

OLD TIES, NEW HOME: Saturday’s matchup from Mosaic Stadium will see several former Riders return to Regina to play out of Mosaic Stadium for the first time. Former Riders Head Coach, Corey Chamblin returns, as does Riders Alumnus – now defensive backs coach, Tyron Brackenridge…Other former Riders returning to Ridervile for the Week 6 tilt include Matt Webster, Jeff Fuller, Armanti Edwards.
