 Winnipeg Blue Bombers (0-0-0)
At Saskatchewan Roughriders (0-1-0)
Saturday, 7 p.m., Mosaic Stadium

THE FORECAST: Environment Canada is calling for a high of 24 C during the day with a 30-per-cent chance of showers. The evening is supposed to be clear with a low of 13 C.

THE LOWDOWN: The Roughriders and Bombers will officially open Mosaic Stadium, Saskatchewan’s new $278-million home facility. The event is to feature pre-game festivities and a glitzy halftime show as the Roughriders celebrate the grand opening … Saskatchewan is coming off a 17-16 loss to the host Montreal Alouettes, who pulled out the win when Roughriders kicker Tyler Crapigna missed a last-play, 45-yard field-goal attempt. The Bombers had a Week 1 bye … All week, the Roughriders have been preaching discipline. They took 12 penalties for 113 yards against Montreal.

THE RIDERS’ ROSTER: Kevin Glenn, who signed with Saskatchewan in the off-season after being released by the Bombers, gets the start at quarterback. The 38-year-old pivot was solid in the season-opening loss to Montreal, throwing for 298 yards and rushing for 16 more … Tailback Cameron Marshall made quite an impression in his debut with Saskatchewan, rushing 11 times for 84 yards and catching four passes for 17 yards. Marshall’s toughness was on display in the contest when he finished off one of his carries after losing his helmet … Nic Demski, who set single-game career highs in receptions (seven) and receiving yards (87) in Montreal, retains his starting role Saturday. After missing the opener with an ankle injury, Rob Bagg returns to the roster, but he’s listed as a backup … The Roughriders’ offensive line remains intact from the season-opener. The quintet, aided at times by tight ends and running backs, allowed just one sack against the Alouettes … The Roughriders will have a new middle linebacker Saturday. Sam Eguavoen comes off the injured list to replace Henoc Muamba, who has been put on the six-game injured list with an undisclosed ailment … Linebackers Sam Williams and Erick Dargan fared well in their CFL debuts in Montreal. Each had four tackles, but a couple of Williams’ stops were the results of solid — and loud — hits … Saskatchewan’s defensive line needs to put more pressure on the opposing quarterback. The defence didn’t have any sacks against the Als … Rookie defensive back Chris Lyles, who never before had played halfback in a game, held his own against Montreal. He was beaten for a touchdown by Als slotback Ernest Jackson, but that was the only glaring mistake by the CFL freshman … Crapigna went 3-for-4 on field-goal tries in Montreal, but his lone miss was a costly one. He’ll handle the kicking duties again Saturday, but he knows that sophomore Quinn van Gylswyk — who is on the Roughriders’ one-game injured list for a second straight week — is waiting in the wings … Ricky Collins Jr., who was handling the Roughriders’ returns in the absence of Chad Owens, injured a shoulder in Montreal. Demski replaces Collins as Saskatchewan’s primary returner, but he’ll likely get help from Marshall, Greg Morris and Duron Carter.
