Riders Sign Defensive Lineman Hasan Hazime

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced national defensive lineman Hasan Hazime has signed with the team. As per club policy, details of the contracts were not released.

Hazime (6’5 – 280) will join the Riders after spending the last three seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In 35 career games the 28-year-old product of Wake Forest has registered 23 defensive tackles, three tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks, and two special teams tackles.

Hazime was originally selected by the Edmonton Eskimos in the 5th round (36th overall) of the 2012 CFL Draft before being acquired by Hamilton in a February, 2013 transaction.

· The Riders also announced they have released national fullback Matthew Rea.
