Mosaic Community Award

Mosaic Canada was proud to present veteran defensive lineman Marcus Adams with the Mosaic Community Award.

The award is presented annually to the Saskatchewan Roughrider who contributes the most to his community.

The Mosaic Community Award was presented to Marcus Adams by Mosaic Vice - President of Potash Operations, Norm Beug.

 The Presidents' Ring Award

Frontier Peterbilt proudly presents the Presidents’ Ring Award. This award is presented annually to the Roughrider player who has exemplified to his teammates as having exceptional motivational and leadership skills on and off the field. The player must also exhibit a commitment to his community by way of charity events and youth-oriented initiatives.

At the conclusion of each football season, Rider players will be given a ballot in which to nominate three of their teammates, one offensive player, one defensive player and one predominately special teams’ player.

The three majority names nominated will then be brought before Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club Team President Jim Hopson and Frontier Group of Companies’ President Kerny Korchinski to select one name as the recipient of the Presidents’ Ring Award.

The award ceremony will take place in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club’s Annual Meeting of Members and the adjoining luncheon. During the program, President Jim Hopson and President Kerny Korchinski will be asked to speak to the qualities and criteria set forth in order to be awarded the Presidents’ Ring. Then the award recipient will be called on stage to receive his ring and plaque from both presidents.

The plaque shall remain in a prominent area inside the Roughrider locker room with each recipient’s name engraved. The Presidents’ Ring is kept by the player once awarded.

“We have entered into the partnership because we believe in the football club and the players and want to help further recognize and celebrate the efforts these men put forth on game day and in the community year round,” said Korchinski. “It’s a pleasure to be associated with the Roughriders and we look forward to meeting the first recipient of the award.”

“There are several players that come to mind already who are deserving of this award,” stated Hopson. “I think the fact that the players themselves will be nominating three of their teammates is special because they are the ones who truly see what these individuals are like on a daily basis, what attributes they bring to the table and what type of character they have.

”We know that our players are committed to the community and we are very appreciative that Frontier Peterbilt has come on board to help us now pay tribute to those players with this award.”
