RIDERS SIGN THREE TO PRACTICE ROSTER
Saskatchewan Roughrider General Manager Eric Tillman announced today they have signed import linebacker Sam Olajubutu, import receiver Gerran Walker and non-import defensive back Konrad Wasiela to practice roster contracts.
 
Olajubutu (5’9 – 220 lbs) signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year after spending four seasons at the University of Arkansas. The 24-year old finished his senior season with 115 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles, earning him first team All-SEC honors (coaches and media).
 
Walker (5’10 – 185 lbs) spent the past two seasons in the NFL with Pittsburgh, San Diego and Indianapolis. He spent last season on the Steelers practice roster after a stint in NFL Europe. The 24-year old was a three-year starter at Lehigh University and finished his college career with 74 receptions for 1,325 yards and ten touchdowns.
 
Wasiela (5’9 – 180 lbs) spent a portion of last season with the B.C. Lions. He dressed in three games as a backup defensive back and special teams player. The 23-year old finished up his final season at UBC with 22 tackles, two interceptions and four pass knockdowns and was invited to the 2006 East-West Bowl.
