Today, the Saskatchewan Roughriders held their 2008-09 Annual General Meeting at the Delta Hotel.

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
During his chairman’s report, Rob Pletch announced that the Roughrider Board of Directors has extended the contract of club President and CEO Jim Hopson into 2011.
FINANCIAL REPORT
During his financial report, Craig Reynolds, the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ Chief Financial Officer, revealed the Football Club reported a profit of $1,628,607. The club exceeded the $28 million plateau in total gross revenues, eclipsing the previous high of $22 million.
TICKET SALES
With all time high season ticket sales, ticket revenue reached $8.3 million, an increase of 6.6% over 2007. With 18 straight home game sell outs (over the course of 2007 and 2008 seasons); attendance at Mosaic Stadium also reached an all time high.
RETAIL SALES
With key investments made in upgrading the Club’s retail locations at Northgate Mall and Mosaic Stadium, as well as more sales through the web-store, merchandise sales continued to set records at $6.5 million in 2008-09, an increase of $1.5 million from 2007 (28.5%)
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Under the governance guidelines, the Rider shareholders selected a new Board of Governors at the meeting. Returning to the board this year will be Chairman Rob Pletch and Director’s Dou Emsley, Grant Gayton, Paul Hill, Twyla Meredith, Dennis Mulvihill, Laurie Powers and Doug Rogers. Shareholders also voted in three directors – Vice-Chair Roger Brandvold (re-elected), Rory Picklyk (re-elected) and Joel Teal.
