The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today the signing of import receiver Kierrie Johnson to the active roster. Financial details of the agreement were not released.

Johnson (5’10 - 175) joins the Riders after most recently spending time with the B.C Lions during the 2011 and 2012 seasons.  The 24-year old totaled 34 receptions for 514 yards and one touchdown in 14 games played while with the Lions.

A native of Houston,TX, Johnson played three seasons for the Houston Cougars during his collegiate career, finishing with receiving totals of 85 receptions for 1,308 yards and 12 touchdowns.

WOW. hpe the riders are not looking too far ahead. Johnson is a good receiver but an odd time to sign him the day before the semis. He will definitely be able to give the Riders some insight to BC should they get past Calgary.
