The Saskatchewan Roughriders and Saskatchewan Cancer Agency teamed up to continue the fight against cancer.

Saskatchewan Roughrider players, Graig Newman, Sam Hurl and Scott McHenry cut off their lengthy locks and donated all the money raised in the process to Cameco Touchdown for Dreams.

The haircut took place on Tuesday, December 4th, at the Centre Mall in Saskatoon in front of the Rider Store.  In addition to the participants, Rider players Weston Dressler, Mike McCullough, Patrick Neufeld and Ben Heenan were on hand to show their support.

The hair is being donated to “A Childs Voice”, a program that provides wigs for children who have cancer and also to “Beautiful Lengths” for women who lose their hair due to cancer.

The three players presented Mr. Doug Finnie, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency Board Member with a cheque of $15,000, before final donations surpassed the $16,000 mark.
