Riders Fall to Tiger-Cats

When it rains, it pours. The difficult 2016 Saskatchewan Roughrider season continues to hit large potholes, and it hit a big one tonight in Hamilton. The Tiger Cats had Zach Collaros back in the lineup for his first home game of the season and he didn’t skip a beat.

Collaros threw for 381 yards and five touchdowns en route to the 53-7 victory over the Riders.

Darian Durant may have had his worst performance in his storied career. After going a record 324 straight passes without an interception, Durant threw a career high four pick in the loss.

The lone offensive highlight for the Riders was the play of rookie Caleb Holley. In his first CFL game, the Anchorage, Alaska native had five catches for 88 yards.

There isn’t much time for the Riders to regroup. In less than a week’s time, they have a date with the now-surging Edmonton Eskimos at Commonwealth Stadium.

The Friday night battle will kick off at 7:00 CST.
