Riders Sign Quarterback Brandon Bridge

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed national quarterback Brandon Bridge. As per team policy, details of the contract were not released. 

Bridge (6’5 – 225) is currently in his second CFL season after being selected by the Montreal Alouettes in the 4th round (31st overall) of the 2015 CFL Draft. Last season, the 24-year-old dressed for 11 regular season games completing 26 of 40 pass attempts (65.0%) for 282 yards and two touchdowns while adding 18 carries for 59 yards. The University of South Alabama product dressed for four 2016 games for the Al’s registering three carries for two yards.    

Bridge made his first career start last year on November 8th, becoming the first Canadian quarterback to start a CFL game since 1995.
