Riders Make Deal with Eskimos

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired national defensive tackle Gregory Alexandre from the Edmonton Eskimos in exchange for national linebacker Alex Ogbongbemiga. 

Alexandre (6’2 – 277) is currently in his third CFL season. The 31-year-old Montreal native has spent the last three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos after signing with the team in May, 2013. 

The University of Montreal product has picked up 23 defensive tackles and five quarterback sacks in 23 career regular season games. He won his first Grey Cup as a member of the Eskimos last season. 

Alexandre was originally selected by the Toronto Argonauts in the 5th round (35th overall) of the 2011 CFL Draft.
