Riders Add Two to Roster

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today international running back Michael Dyer and international linebacker Korey Jones have signed with the team. As per club policy details of the contract were not disclosed.    

Dyer (5’9 – 220) joins the Riders after attending training camp with the Oakland Raiders last season, originally signing with the team as an undrafted free agent. Prior to going pro the Little Rock, Arkansas native spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons at Louisville after transferring over from Auburn where he spent 2010 and 2011. The 2010 BCS National Champion finished his NCAA career with 3,039 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns on 578 carries in 41 collegiate games. 

Jones (6’1 – 230) will join the Riders ahead of his third CFL season. The 27-year-old Colorado native joined the BC Lions half way through 2013, going on to play two regular season games. After signing with the Green Bay Packers in July, 2014, Jones signed with the Edmonton Eskimos for the 2015 season playing all 18 regular season games, the West Final and Grey Cup.      

The University of Wyoming product has totalled 25 defensive tackles and 16 special teams tackles through his first 20 CFL games. He won his first Grey Cup with Eskimos in 2015.
