Riders Reveal 2016 adidas Jerseys

The Canadian Football League and the Saskatchewan Roughriders have officially launched the new adidas uniforms for the 2016 season.

The new adidas jerseys are an evolution of the Riders look from 2012 with a focus on a return to the team’s core colours of Green and White.

The black trim was removed from the jersey and the numbers to give it a clean and simple look.

The new Saskatchewan wordmark is big and bold and proudly displays our home province.

The pants feature four stripes on the left side – each one representing a Grey Cup victory over the years.

Both the logo on the back and the shoulder numbers have been eliminated to clean up the overall look of the jersey and add to the modern design.

The addition of the new CFL logo and updated Rider logo round out this year’s design.

The uniform can be worn in multiple combinations based on the football operations requirements when paired with the white and green pants.

A new modern and larger helmet logo creates a more aggressive look on the metallic green helmet.  The logo features a liquid metal background that gives the new helmet logo depth.

Retro jerseys have also been updated by adidas with the elimination of shoulder numbers and a return to wider shoulder stripes with the retro logo on the sleeve.  These jerseys will be saved for special occasions on the 2016 calendar.
